Who can I talk to for DIRECTV issues?

Ok, when we first had direct tv installed, when the weather rolled in, the tv went out for a few minutes then came back on. Even through hurricanes and snow storms. Over the last 4 years when weather rolls it continues to get worst. We've had some rain for the last few days and direct tv has been out all 3 day with it popping on every now and then. Obviously, some of the equipment/ wiring has slowly deteriorate. Can I get my wiring and equipment replaced?

Also, I called customer service and customer service no longer handles tech issues. Called the alternate number and the message said that I had weather in my area and the line hung up. Tried to chat; chat didn't work. Is there no way to talk to a real person?  On the verge of dropping you guys.

Most likely the dish needs to the aligned, there are videos on youtube if you want to try it yourself otherwise call DTV at 1800531500 to setup a tech visit if there is a problem with the coax the tech should be able to fix it also.

You call customer support of course. Just be aware they are short staffed still because of the pandemic. They and other companies have a ways to go to get back to normal staffing.

It is not "obvious" that equipment and wiring has detoriated, that is simply your assumption. The more likely reason is the dish over time, or something recently happened, that put it out of alignment. Call DirecTV and get a tech out, unless you want to look up a YouTube video to do yourself.

And you are not on the verge of dropping "us". This is a public forum, not customer support. For that you call. Though I would suggest avoiding chat. Not only has their info been troublesome lately, but there is no record of the chat log put on your account.

Thanks for the advice everyone and explaining that this a public forum not seen by att/direct tv. @Juniper it really is obvious! I've worked with coax, triax, and radar dishes for decades. My biggest issue is not being able to reach CS. Even though I don't see how it could be alignment if the picture comes back after a few DAYS, but I'll look up the video and give a shot until I can get a tech out here. GREAT FORUM! I'm sure I'll be back!

If you see deterioration, fair enough. But all your post indicated is you were assuming deterioration from symptoms only. Picture coming back after a few days could still indicate an alignment or signal issue if something is occasionally getting in way of the dish (fresh leaves on nearby tree or something else swaying in the way) or if it is loose (or what it is attached to, including settling) that might cause the alignment to shift on occasion.

Getting a tech out so alignment can be verified as well as checking outside connects to find out what actually is causing the issue. If there is anything that has deteriorated then the tech handles it. Just remember a symptom is not proof of the actual cause until you verify.
