Whole-home DVR Does Not Work After Software Update
On Oct. 30, the software on my HR24/100 DVR and my 2 H24/700 receivers was updated. Now whole home does not work. The H24's do not show a playlist or give the option to record a show. The whole home status says, "No Networked DVRs Found".
I cannot find any release notes for the software updates 0xe77 and 0xe76 so I have no idea what has changed. I suspect that a new bug was introduced in these updates.
Yes, I did try resetting the DVR and the receivers and yes On Demand still works.

Do you have a Genie (HR34, HR44, HR54) in the mix or is that HR24 your only HDDVR?
You mentioned already doing a reset. Was it one at a time in this specific order? Genie (if you have it) > HDDVR > HD non-DVR. If not give that a try.
After red button reset, the next option is to unplug power from the boxes for a couple minutes. This clears any cached memory that might be bugged (from update or in general). Like the simple reset, do this one at a time in the same order. Be aware this power cycle clears data for the guide and On Demand, which should be reloaded within 24-48 hours.
Also suggested before a retry of the red button or having to power cycle, verify coax is finger tight to each box just as a precaution.

No, I do not have a Genie. I only have one HR24 DVR and two H24's as previously stated. I've also used the red reset button on all receivers and the DVR. All cables are tight.

Ok no Genie, so you have a rare setup from the early days of Whole Home.
As mentioned above, if the red button reset was done one at a time in that exact order than the next step is a full power cycle to see if that will clear the bug you are experiencing. However if you did multiple at the same time and/or didn't do the HDDVR first, then I would try it that way first to be sure. This is because the HDDVR is essentially the primary controller for Whole Home (just like how a Genie would be, even mixed in with regular HDDVRs).
Hope that gets it working again for you.

Surprised that there was a update to the HR24 I also received it, DTV never tells anyone what is in the updates.
Are you using a standard LNB with 2 coaxes to the HR24 or a SWM LNB with 1?

How are the hr24's connected to your Network -Check the Moco Dongle attached to your switch or router for power. Go to Menu- Setting -Internet- and try to connect to the internet.
If they have no internet connection Whole home will not work. (NOTE) if you Connect a Lan cable to the back of any Hr24 -It will Not Work as that disables Moco Connection -if you have done that remove the lan cable and reboot the Hr24 to get that feature bac.

You might try resetting the Directv Cinema Connection -First Try to connect to the internet from the HR24 in the menu first.
When you reboot the receiver the internet connection does not connect immediately

OP stated that On Demand works so they are connected to the internet.
Is the CCKW connected to the HR24 using an Ethernet cable? How are the H24 connected coax only or do they have Ethernet cables also

Strange as Whole Home doesn't need an internet connection to work, glad it is working.
