Why does my DVR delete Judge Judy episodes?
This is the second or third time it's happened, and is the only show, even after I set the series to keep. The show was originally #3 on my record list and is now #1. I keep an eye on free disc space and don't let it get lower than 37%.

Hello @shegeek72
We're glad to assist you with this issue. Thanks for reaching out through our Community Forum.
Have you confirmed that the Judge Judy shows are actually be deleted from the hard-drive? There could be a glitch that is not allowing all the episodes to display in your "List".
Try to reset the Genie/HDVR if you have not done so already. Also, see if the episodes can be recovered under the "Recording History"

I thought that was what he meant be setting it to "keep".
Are you recording from the regular satellite channel, or On Demand? If it shows a channel in the 1000s for the recording then that is not the satellite channel. Difference is that On Demand will have an exp date and cannot be set to keep permenently.

It's she. :)
JJ has been set to until I delete it. Also, I'd like to know how to stop the DVR from recording episodes that aren't in my package, which means I have to manually delete the partially recorded programs.

Fair enough, I use the term in general as don't want to say "it" or something.
When you set recording from smart search, it goes from all channels including On Demand. If you go into the guide and press the Record button on the listing (once for episode, twice for series), it will only record on that channel.
This is something I really wish they would reprogram. Shouldn't record on channel you don't get in the first place. And would be nice to have an option to allow/block On Demand as desired. And to not record the same episode from multiple sources. This setup is one of my few criticisms of the service.
