Winegard In motion satellite
We have and HR24-200 receiver in our RV. We recently had in our home the Genie system Receiver HR54-200 installed. Since then we have NOT been able to use our IN Motion Satellite on the road or in campgrounds. It never stops searching. Any suggestions?

This is happening because the Winegard in-motion satellite is non-SWM. Unless you decide to buy a SWM8 multi switch, you cannot use the HR54 because it only works on SWM systems. If you still have that HR24, be sure to hold onto it because it still supports non-SWM systems and would be beneficial for you in the future. If you don’t mind confirming, what is the specific name of the in/motion Winegard dome? There’s the SDi, ROADTRIP MINIMAX, ROADTRIP MISSION, and ROADTRIP T4.
DIRECTV has been shutting down their SD/MPEG2 feeds from satellite 101W. Due to the fact that the Winegard in-motion satellite only receives this one satellite, you would be left with a useless dome.
But, I wouldn’t be so quick on this. Recently, there were some sightings of 4 HD channels on 101W. Therefore, there’s no knowing what the future holds. I still want to inform you about the SD shutdown, be there is definitely hope that the dome will continue to work after that.

You can't use a SWM 8/16 module with an HR54 as DTV removed the 18" round dish from the dish setup menu so it will search for the HD sats that the dome can't get and sends the 771 error code. DTV may use the 101 for MPEG4 channels but remember it went into orbit in the early 90s and how much longer it can still work is unknown.
If the HR24 has been connected to the SWM system in the house then when you take it back to the RV you have to rerun sat setup and select multiswitch first then select the 18" round dish.

T16 at 101, which is where the HD channels are coming from, was launched in 2019 and has a lfe expectancy until at least 2035 and probably longer,

As a note the new options for the RV would be a slimline SWM dish that you put on a tripod or sled mount for manual aiming. Then there is the Winegard Trav'ler.
With your current setup, do not use a model any higher than HR24 or H24. That would allow you to not need any changes for the time being. But be aware this may be temporary as DirecTV completes shutting down the MPEG-2/SD-only feeds.
