What is the advantage of wireless compared to not wireless

I'm guessing you're asking about Genie Mini Client boxes?

Of course, the main advantage of the wireless Mini Genies is no need for coax cables connected to the satellite dish. The main disadvantage is signal range. Go beyond 50-feet from the Genie Server or Wireless Video Bridge and you may have issues. Also, the wireless Minis do not support 4K channels. Only the C61K wired Mini supports 4K channels.

What are your main concerns?

I would also point out that regular receivers which are wired have their own tuners and are not reliant on another box to work, plus additional recording space if an HDDVR model. That is in addition that wired is more reliable than wireless just per the nature of the connection.

As a note, the Genie-2 (HS17) only allows clients, forbidding receivers. But it does support both wired and wireless clients.
