Email te: testing a remote

Is the email you sent me about testing a new email device for Direct Tv legit? I can’t log in to my account useing the link you sent me in your colorful email?

Ok and your user account is working. This forum is about internet streaming. Nothing to do with testing email with a new device. Sure did not come from here

Are you a DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV satellite subscriber? The email sent was to test/receive a Gemini device now capable of streaming apps like Netflix, HBO Max, etc. This box integrates your regular DIRECTV experience with additional apps. If you find this appealing, call DIRECTV ( number in my greeting below) and let them know you are interested. If not, your current equipment of Genie clients and a regular Genie receiver works perfectly fine.

If the email you got specifically says "email device" then I suspect you got a scam email.

This is a public forum of other customers, not official support.

To protect yourself it is not Direct TV. It is DirecTV for the satellite service or DIRECTV STREAM for the streaming-only service. Though the streaming service is working on a rebrand (again), but either way DirecTV is one word with one T. Be careful of any communication that has it misspelled.

I get the sense that your "WARM" was sarcastic. We are trying to be helpful by giving you factual information and guidance. Nothing malicious is meant by it. It is simply a forum to discuss with other customers, so there is no welcome party for joining.
