Gemini Air

I just got my brand new Gemini Air to beta test.  So far so good, The only issue that I had was it did not want to install the first time and needed a restart.  The whole setup process took about 45 mins.  I really see no difference between the Gemini/Osprey Box and the Gemini Air other than the picture quality is slightly better and the wifi speeds to the device are better.  So far so good hopefully no major issue arise.  Just putting this out in case anyone might have any questions about it.

Has anyone seen a forum where to post issues or is this the one?   I notice numerous audio/video lag issues on the linear channels and apps. My regular Osprey device does not have such issues.

@scott07002  You can post your issues here.  I am also a beta tester!  I have not had any issues.  Have you tried pressing the reset button to see if it would help with audio/video lag issues?  You could also try resetting your modem/router sometimes this can help.

Well ran into my first Issue with the New Gemini Air it decided to reboot itself over and over and over again.  The only way I found to fix this issue was to unplug the power cord from the device, wait about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.  Then it restarted normally and has worked fine ever since.  Just posting in case anyone else runs into this issue with theirs.

I received a software update. Update includes Apple TV app and now channel 500 takes you to the MAX app----instead of HBO max.

I have yet to receive the software update on my Gemini Air.   Its still on the February patch.

@JAL123 They are slowly putting out the updates to the Air.  You should be getting one soon as mine updated the other day.  I know they span out the updates over a period of time so be patient and yours will update soon!

Ok…we have had this Gemini Air over 2 months and has worked flawlessly up until a few days ago and now it is not recognized on the TV at all

we plug back in the regular Gemini and hooks right up

switch back to the dongle and notta

tried reset button… still nothing except the led light on the dongle so I know it’s getting power

very odd and disappointed because the picture and speeds with everything was better with the Air 👍

I know someone who had a similar issue and they reset their modem/router and it fixed their issue.  Don't know if this will help with your issue but anything it is worth a try to get it working again. I hope this helps.

I tried a reset on the modem / router just now …Still nothing…So I attempted the reset on the dongle …It cam up with a snowy screen for about 5 seconds then went to the direct TV logo with the moving lines below the logo….Then to a blank screen again

im going to just let it it there for a while and see if anything changes ….

it’s as if I’ve been shut off remotely but my other Gemini works fine 

so not sure what the issue is

Mine has worked great until the last update when they added the option to view movies and shows from the Directv guide that include Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, etc. It’s the same update that added the Chroma 4:2:2 option next to the HDR toggle button. Ever since then my Gemini Air keeps wanting to pair my remote every single time I turn the device on.

My Gemini Air stopped working about a week ago.  It’s too bad we have a Roku tv and we like the DIRECTV remote better.  Just stays dark like the poster above stated.  Boots up with the logo and nothing.  It almost seems like it’s a reception problem and not a connection to tv problem. 

it lasted about 6 weeks.

just hold the reset button by the light

hold it until after the snowy screen….then should say resetting …Then you can let the button go….Took me a few days to figure this out

the bummer is you will need to sign back into everything…Butbyou will be back up running

That fixed it Steve!  Thanks for the help, I hoped someone had the same problem and could help me.  I really like the Gemini Air mostly for the better remote. We watch it before we go to sleep and the Roku remote was not backlit.
