Customer service

How do I let DTV know their customer service (Edited per community guidelines)? I tried to pay a bill using my checking account, but I got some kind of message about the system not being able to process my payment and to try again or call customer service. When I called customer service, the system went directly to "You are behind in your account, pay NOW" and never gave me the option to go to a real person to try to figure out what was wrong with my checking information. When I tried the online chat, all I got was a run around with the robot. It kept saying it would find someone to answer my question but never did. I finally paid my bill with a debit card, which I didn't want to do.

Whatever happened to REAL customer service with REAL people helping you with your problems? This was an extremely frustrating experience and took WAY more time than it should have.

Thank you for having a place for me to vent. If any DirecTV person reads this, please pass it on. You have an extremely unhappy customer, and I'm thinking I can't be the only one.

This is a customer populated forum.  No one from AT&T will see your post.

File a complaint with the BBB.

Primarily what happened is they are short staffed because of the pandemic. Call centers are something that got hit the hardest because of social distancing requirements. They have also been relying on more outsourcing to make up for it.

Chat however has been very poor on info lately, plus no transcript is saved to your record. It is small staffed to begin with so only works when there is an available agent. So I personally would avoid the chat option.

As this is a public forum of other customers, no official feedback submits here. However in addition to calling customer support, you could also submit a BBB complaint as that notifies the corporate level.
