As long as you live in the 48 contiguous states, you should be able to get DIRECTV.

DIRECTV doesn’t just ‘stop’ doing service at a location as their satellite covers the entire United States. It’s normal for your neighbors to get DIRECTV because they SHOULD.

You can try calling DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and asking to sign up again. Maybe your address was incorrect or they simply misunderstood.

Your townhouse neighborhood might be classed as an MDU (multidwelling unit) in which case directv can;t service you directly. You need to find out which MDU provider services your location and work through them.

@G12Alston

DirecTV is nationwide as is satellite service. Whoever said they stopped doing DirecTV years ago is full of bull.

Make sure you call DirecTV itself, not a 3rd party. However, if your townhouse neighborhood is serviced by a Multi Dwelling Unit (MDU) then you have to through them for the service as DirecTV doesn't directly in those cases.

As long as you have clear view of the sky, you can get DirecTV.
