I have been a customer for 20+years and I would like to know how can I get my bill down? I’m paying $115 for just the basic 🥴

Unfortunately, there a low chances of any sort of ‘loyalty’ discount. The way to lower your bill is remove unnecessary premium channels (i.e. HBO, EPIX, HISTORY VAULT) as well as deactivate unnecessary TVs. Any TVs that are leased by DIRECTV and marked returnable must be returned to a participating FedEx or UPS location with the account number (keep the shipping receipt so you have proof of return).

Additionally, you can remove sports subscriptions and get rid of Protection Plans. However, you can try calling DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and saying ‘cancel’ to the robot to be sent to the loyalty/renteiton department where an agent there can check for any sort of discount. You’ll need to tell them that you want to cancel since service is too expensive. If they can’t offer a discount and you decide to cancel then an early termination fee (ETF) will occur if you are under the two year contract ($20 for each month left on the contract). As stated before, all equipment is returned to a participating FedEx or UPS location with the account number. The shipping receipt should be kept so you can avoid the non-return equipment fee. If there is no nearby FedEx or UPS, you can request to drop it off at the USPS.

DirecTV is losing money, so the days of sweet discounts are pretty much gone. You can reduce your bill by reducing your channel package or equipment.

What do you mean "just the basic"? What is "basic" is different person to person.

The lowest option would be the Family package with a single TV and a receiver that is not a DVR. That would be the absolute lowest cost possible.
