Feb 2021 $50.00 price increase
I'm in Georgia and my DTV charge just jumped by $50.00 per month. Not sure if a discount expired or Att is getting greedy. Anyone else seen this?

JUNIPER just to let you know I can afford it just not getting my moneys worth. How do you know what people can or cannot afford? Do you know everyones financial status? Looks like directv is going to lose a customer that has been with them for 25 years. Thanks Juniper for letting me know that you think I can't afford it.

Try reading the entire post. I mentioned both if you cannot afford it or simply don't like the pricing. I made no assumption for your financial situation.
If you chose to cancel, so be it. Your staying or leaving affects me not. I was just trying to provide some realistic perspective.
@leewos
No shame here. I don't sugar my responses. They may be blunt, but are given honestly and hopefully provide some reality to others. If you don't like the pricing and feel it is not the value you are looking for, then seek elsewhere. But bear in mind costs are going up for all TV providers, streaming included. Networks/content providers raise costs, then over the years the TV providers must do the same to still turn a profit.

Ok Juniper.....have the last sarcastic remark......you always seem do from reading many of your “25.9 thousand” posted responses. And you have the audacity to claim you’re not in league with AT&T..... no one replies to that many posts who are not compensated..... I may be old, but I’m not stupid.

There was no sarcastic remark. My comment was straightforward, though blunt as I have explained.
I do not accuse you of being stupid, only making a false claim. AT&T certainly shows nowhere on my LES or DFAS information, and of course not my taxes. They are not my employer. And I have posted my displeasure and disagreement with some of their policies and equipment (such as the Genie-2 HS17). But I also understand what builds up to make billing the way it is.
So if you don't like pricing, then certainly ask if any options are available to lower it or adjust services where you feel the value matches better. If those options don't work, then seek elsewhere that has what you want. Those that don't make adjustments and just keep complaining expecting costs to be lowered while still keeping the same level of optional entertainment are not taking responsibility of their own finances. People seem to forget that TV is entertainment, not a utility or requirement of society, meaning they are a business and not a charity.

Leewos some people in this world think that they know everything. These are the people that if you could buy them for what their worth and sell them for what they think their worth you would be a millionare. I guess juniper must know what my income is to make such a bold statement as that.

@KiotiKirk
Once again, I am not claiming to know anything about your personal finances. Be it not affordable or you just don't see the value matching the cost, my response remains the same. Businesses have no requirement to price for the way you want or what budget you have. They offer a service and give their options. You choose within those options what you feel works for you.
Adjust services until you get the value matching that you want. Ask if there are any specials, but understand those are temporary as there is no way to permanently reduce cost except reducing service. If those options do not get a bill that you like, then find someplace else that is setup the way you want.

Once again you are definitely wrong. I am not an employee. Those who are employees are marked with a tag as such. Though unless marked as their "cares" team or a moderator, apparently those with the "employee" tag are posting on their personal time.
So please quit making false claims just because you don't like or agree with my post.

KiotKirk......told ya....Juniper ALWAYS has to have the last say. Read ANY his 25,900 + posts and you’ll see what I mean. No one take the time to READ AND RESPOND through Ditectv posts, without being compensated in some form or other.
I suspect, once again, a reply ( the last word) from him asserting that he’s just a fellow “consumer” who just happens to adamantly defend AT$T’s pricing, policies, structure and corporate honor.....lol.
