Since naturally the most common reason to want to know that info is because someone is considering cancelling, they like other businesses don't have it listed for you to see. They want you to call and discuss the situation with a live agent.
So call DirecTV and when you get the voice system say "cancel" to get to the correct department.
I would recheck that statement. They have never listed the contract date on the monthly bill.
If you meant the number for customer support, that would be the AT&T one. I still suggest using the service specific one for DirecTV to avoid additional transfers.
That is a huge change. Their reason for not wanting to list it has been understandable. I wonder how many people will knowing that would setup a new service, call to cancel and get an option that would have worked for them and complain because they didn't know.
I am curious what prompted AT&T to make this change of info on DirecTV's statements.
Any info on why this changed? It has not been listed for so long to encourage them to speak to a live agent before making the decision to cancel, I wonder why they are now providing that info in other places.

It may only appear if you have one. It does not show on my bill nor do I see online, but my commitment date came and went years ago.
