Just now discovered that my single AT&T/DirecTV account was split into TWO different bills - the last "Customer Service" person messed up.
The Subject says it all. What a MESS. And no actual people are home at Chat so I'll have to wait until 8am local time to talk to a Supervisor to hopefully get this all straightened out....
There's nothing that you Community Forum folks can do, I'm just stunned that the last Customer Service agent scrambled my account up so very badly.

Defenitely don't want a optional change going through without your permission. Though personally, I prefer to avoid combined/joint bills. Easier to read and don't have to worry about communication issues between both sides.
Unless there is more to this, then yeah there isn't even any guidance (other than sharing an opinion as above). Since you created an account, did you want something from the forum?

I do get a discount with a combined bill, so there is that. At least I used to. God knows what will happen when I finally do get through to a Supervisor. This is such a mess.
The only reason I know about this is that I got my emailed copy of my bill and it was much lower than usual and THAT's because I discovered it's only for my AT&T cellphone service.
I have NO idea what has happened with my DirecTV!!!
Just little ol' me, ranting and venting away.

Hello @LongTimeAccount, we want to figure out what's happening to your DIRECTV bill, and make things right for you.
Let's meet in a Direct Message to take a closer look. Please check your DIRECTV Message Inbox (It's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums) and we'll take things from there.

@LongTimeAccount deep inside I’m wondering if your having this issue because AT&T doesn’t own DIRECTV anymore. TPG now has 30%. Maybe this could be the reason why your bill is separated. In any event, you should reach out to the AT&T Wireless Forums as well to see if anyone has had a similar experience. I personally would advice you to call both DIRECTV and AT&T (DIRECTV number in my greeting below) and ask for the reason. If they decline, say you want to cancel so that you are sent to the retention department. An agent there will take the concern more seriously.
Just curious, how much of a discount were you given for having both services combined?
