Adding additional TV

I'm in the process of building a detached garage alongside of my home, and I'd like to add an additional genie mini when it's finished, I currently have a whole home DVR (Genie 2) with wireless genie mini's. Signal will have to pass through two brick walls. Should I assume another wireless genie mini will work, or should I run a coax from the new location into the attic (near the dish) of my home?

RUN a COAX (RG6) (to your where your Swim Splitter is Now-meaning where your dish down lead enters the swim splitter.)  while you can and I would also run a couple of Cat 6 cables --Far better to have than need it and NOT have it.

Wired Mini will work much better than wireless at that distance.

If by "Genie 2" you mean the 2nd generation Genie (HR44), then if possible I would get an HDDVR instead of a Mini Genie Client. More capability plus you don't have to deal with the limitations of how many Clients may be in use.

But if that is the Genie-2 (HS17) server tower than Clients is all you are allowed.
