Consolidation of boxes and Roku directv App
I want to consolidate boxes I have 10 boxes and that is way too many.
I have the following:
*5 mini Genies
* 1 HR 24-100
* 1 HR 44-100
* 3 h24-200
I would like to end up with a maximum of 4 boxes and use Roku DirectV app for when I need the other TVs which is not that often.
What should I keep and or get rid of? I don't need 2 DVR's.

If you want to maximize the number of independent satellite tuners, I would recommend keeping the HR44 Genie DVR, the HR24 HD DVR, and two of the H24 HD Receivers.

What does independent satellite tuners mean? In general does that mean that they are better than the Genies?
Which one of those boxes would you keep in the main room and small theater room?
Thank for the help. This consolidation should bring my cost down. I just wanted to keep the best equipment.

Genie Mini Client boxes don't have satellite tuners. They use the tuners in the main HR44 Genie DVR. I personally think that's better than a Mini Genie box. And you can't get those HR2x/H2x boxes anymore. It doesn't really matter which box you place where, but I would probably use the HR44 Genie in your primary view location and the HR24 HD DVR in your small theater.

Genie (HR44) has 5 tuners and 1TB recording space.
HDDVR (HR24) has 2 tuners and 500GB recording space.
HD non-DVR (H24) has 1 tuner, can watch recordings of other boxes, has Autotune.
Mini Genie Client has no tuners or recording space, is an extension of the Genie.
Genie keeps 2 tuners to itself for PiP, so no more than 3 Mini Genies can be in use at the same time because of the remaining 3 tuners. So having 5 Mini Genies is normally a sub-standard setup.
As you want to reduce to 4 boxes, I would suggest the HR44, your HR24, and two of your H24s. This would protect against tuner conflicts. If you wanted to pause live TV (grabbing a snack, answering the phone, etc.) you would need a Mini Genie instead of an H24 on that TV.
As each additional TV Client is $7, you will be lowering your bill by $42 a month by deactivating 6 of them.
Depends on what models those Mini Genies are if DirecTV will want them back or not.
