Damages caused by direct tv technician
We just moved into our new home. The previous owners had dish. We decided to go with direct tv. Technician came to our home to put service in. He ripped the entire dish satellite out, including the bracket which left big holes in the roof. Then stated he couldn't get a signal on the roof so he would have to put a pole in the ground. He couldn't finish it he said because he didn't have the proper equipment to put a pole in the ground. He left. He also ripped shingles up, left big holes in the roof, and cut the wires to my new internet. We have been trying to get this fixed and haven't heard anything from anyone. We have picture evidence of all the damages. We now have a bill for 150.00 minimal from hughes net to come out and fix the cords this guy cut off. There was no reason for him to even touch our internet. Our roof has a tarp because the more it rains the more damage this is causing fire the shingles being lifted and the holes. If we have to hire an attorney, it's will cost direct tv even more for all the stress and anxiety this has caused us. We want this fixed immediately. We have called the insurance company 2 times now to give them pictures but nobody calls us back. Direct tv acts like they did nothing wrong and on the bbb website they refuse to even work with us. This has been 2 weeks ago and nothing from nobody.

You are limited to binding arbitration. This is a customer to customer forum.

Ik. I hoping they see this. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue with them. Nobody should have to deal with any of what we are going through.

DTV techs are not suppose to remove any dishes be it theirs or dish so this maybe a first but DTV has damaged property before. Unless DTVhelp sends you a DM all you can do is continue to call. No idea why the BBB with not allow you to file a complaint.

Sounds like you have an issue with your insurance company, that's between you and them.
Same comment with BBB, that sounds like you got the wrong people, but your local BBB may not want to take on a big corporation.
Get hold of DTV, or take them to small claims. A summons to court will get their attention.

One would assume they are having problems with DTV's insurance carrier Sedwick.

Tech messing with the other dishes (be it internet or the Dish Network one) was an absolute no-no. That tech messed up bad.
Call DirecTV to submit a property damage claim. I would link the official forum thread, but it appears to have been moved (wonder if contact info is updating since AT&T is taking hands off managing DirecTV and giving to the new co-owner).
I would only go with the BBB complaint if the damage claim does not resolve as expected. Does send the situation to the corporate level.
Before you hire someone, be aware that your Terms of Service (ToS) limit you to binding arbitration. But before this step or BBB, at least give them the chance to do what they are supposed to with the damage claim.

On phone we are told a complaint was made and forwarded to sedgwick. Now with bbb they are saying it's mastec. Not once person will call me from direct tv. I keep getting the runaround. I have professional witnesses to that their technician didn't know what he was doing and shouldn't have ever taken down the brackets or even touched my internet. We went with dish and he said (Edited per community guidelines) was that guy doing. Hughes net said the exact same thing.

Direct tv giving me a hard time on fb. My insurance company has nothing to do with what direct tv technician did to my roof or internet. They will get sued and owe so much more for letting this go.

Mastec are the installers and I wouldn't want them anywhere near the roof as they most likely caused the problem in the first place. Doubt DTV will call you as they are not involved as this is in sedgwick's ballpark. Did you PM/DM DTVhelp?

That's where I'm getting the run around. Lady told me it's sedgwick in the phone and gave me the claim number. Got on bbb said it's mastec. Fb direct tv are telling me they can only talk to my hubby but am haven't called him yet. I might have to just hire an attorney at this point. Sedgwick insurance (Edited per community guidelines) too. My son had sedgwick for work comp and they refused to pay him then refused to talk to his attorney. They are now getting sued by my sons attorney.

DTV can only speak to the account holder, he may have to add you as an authorized user. DTV didn't damage your roof Mastec did.

Sedgwick is the company that handles damage claims for DirecTV. Your install was done by a 3rd party Mastec (which doesn't have a good track record). In that case a BBB complaint would be done on Mastec.
If they will only speak to your husband, that would indicate he is the account owner and has not listed you as an authorized user. He would need to call and have you added.
Be aware for DirecTV the Terms of Service require arbitration. Something to be aware of for any counsel you seek.
