DECA, SWiM and CCK. What are they, what's the difference, what are they each used for, difference between label colors and how do they play into whole home set up? Thanks.

DECA = DTV Ethernet to Coax Adapter adds/removes the internet signal to the coax to supply all DTV receivers.
SWM= Single Wire Multi Switch used to combine the tuners and the internet onto one coax as originally DTV needed a separate coax from the dish for each tuner.
CCK = Cinema Connection Kit is a DECA with a power supply that is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable and coax to the SWM splitter to provide a hard wired internet connection (there is a wireless version CCKW) newer Genie receivers have wireless built in or can be connected to the internet with an Ethernet cable.

Are any of them tied into whole home and/or do any of them conflict with having whole home?

Whole Home DVR requires SWM.
If you have a pre-Genie setup with Whole Home DVR, you only have one external CCK if you choose to use the On Demand features from being internet connected. If you have a Genie (DirecTV's Advanced Whole Home HDDVR), as that has the CCK built-in you don't use the external one on the setup.
The external CCKW only supports 2.4Ghz, but the one the Genie has built-in supports 5Ghz as well.

Whole Home uses both DECA and SWM to send data packs to the other boxes.
