Dvr issues

My dvr seems to be automatically deleting shows. It appears they may be the oldest shows but I have plenty of space on my DVR.

@heather_h5 either you have a series recording setting called "Keep at Most" that is set to a certain amount of recordings at once or the receiver's hard drive may be failing (very unlikely.)

To further investigate, you should go into Series Manager, choose any Series that has this effect, and go to Series settings to change "Keep at Most" setting. This way, the receiver won't automatically delete other recordings to save space and whatnot.

If you have tried changing the Setting on all Series and the problem persists, please post back here.

This is on DirecTV satellite. I have had the same DVR for years and years so it's likely going bad. I've noticed sometimes in the middle of the night or first thing in the morning the main DVR has four lights flashing on it and I have to reset the DVR to get that to stop. I will definitely check the keep at most setting and see if this helps.

The series setting is set to "all episodes" keep at most. But it's still deleting.

What model is the DVR?

Any other issues?

When you reset the DVR was that just the red button or have you tried unplugging power from it for a minute as well?
