DVR NOT WORKING
I've already Ordered a Universal Remote Replacement, BUT...DVR ISN'T Working at All !
I found that the Access Card that's Inserted into DVR has an Area on the Bottom Left corner around CHIP Area has a "Scorched " appearance.
Could this be what's causing the Problem ?

What is the receiver model? What error code are you receiving? Why did you need a replacement remote? That has nothing to do with the receiver access card.

Have you reset the dvr yet --Press the red button and see if anything changes

If the remote is not controlling the DVR, that has nothing to do with the access card.
But if the DVR is not working at all, not even powering on with the front panel buttons (or unplugged from power and back in again if it doesn't have buttons), then there may be an issue with the box itself. The access card looking "scorched" is concerning that something damaged the box.
