The D12 is obsolete you need to call DTV for the free HD swap.

if your D-12 was working at your old location --it should work as well using the new dish at your new location.

I would add if your D12 was working before not last year before you found a new place

DirecTV is in the process of shutting down their MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. The D12 is the last MPEG-2 non-DVR and has been obsolete for years. All D and R models (except R22 in specific setups) must be replaced, which usually includes getting a new dish.

Going forward we all are required to have MPEG-4 boxes. Also, you must call DirecTV regarding a Movers order as they are not setup for customer to self-install. The physical service address is required to be correct as affects locals and RSNs/teams authorized as well as the taxes you must pay.

Best to replace your outdated equipment before the shutdown hits your account and leaves you with no service.
