New satellite dish for new trailer
I have a DirecTV D12 and R22 receivers my old trailer had the old winegaurd crank up dish. I am purchasing a new 5th wheel and would like to upgrade to a dish that automatically finds the satellite. What brand and model does everyone recommend

A slimline SWM dish on a tripod/sled mount that you manually aim, or the Winegard Trav'ler for auto aiming are your options.
DirecTV is shutting down their MPEG-2/SD-only feeds. That means your D12 must be replaced. The R22 can still work as long as you have at least one H or HR model on the account as enables the full MPEG-4 capability.
DirecTV will only do a complimentary MPEG swap for what is installed in the home itself. Any updates in the trailer/5th wheel will be at your own cost. If you a spot where the D12 can work at home, that would at least allow you to replace the box as part of the free swap. Just make sure to say MPEG swap of SD-only equipment, not "upgrade" or you get a 24 month service agreement.
Depends on what other boxes you have at home on how the full swap would work. What models are your others?

Thank you for responding,
I have 2-R22withHD/100 and 1-D12 in my house and I usually take the D12 in the 5th wheel when we go camping. I am looking for a DirecTV dish that will automatically connect while we are camping. Something like the king pro.

The King Pro is outdated as only uses DirecTV's MPEG-2. The Winegard Trav'ler is the automatic option going forward.
Only MPEG swap the D12. If you can, get a non-DVR (H24 or H25) if any are still in stock. It is possible only the Genie is available for the complimentary swap as earlier equipment has dwindled. In that event, you would want to take one of the R22s with you instead.
Do NOT get the Genie-2 (HS17) as would require swapping all boxes as doesn't allow dedicated receivers. This makes it very problematic for those with RVs as all boxes must stay together.
Read the order confirmation carefully. A MPEG swap has no service agreement and credits the monthly service of $10 HD (unknown how long). This is because this swap is required to continue having DirecTV. With agreement and no credit means it was an upgrade instead. This also requires a tech install, usually including a new receiving dish.

Not such much reccomend as it is currently the only automatic option (not counting for boats) for DirecTV's MPEG-4. Support for RVs on DirecTV service has stagnated a bit.
