Roof damage caused by DirecTV

I have a rood leak caused by a Mas Tec installer because they did not seal around the bolts for the roof mount.  My roof is damaged and warped.  I went through the proper channels to report the claim and it was denied.  No one came to my home to check the validity of my claim but denied they were responsible.  I will be sharing my experience with many others and via social media to show DirecTV 's lack of care and concern for their long time customers. I have been with DirecTV since 2000.  Poor customer relations and they do not care.  They contracted the installer to install their products, yet no one is accountable.  Very disappointed.

Mastec is responsible not directv. That’s why they have insurance directv isn’t going to be responsible for another Fortune 500 companies mistake

I disagree.  DirecTV contracts Mas Tec to install their products.  I called DirecTV to start the service and pay the monthly fee to DirecTV.  I don't remember getting a choice as to who installed my satellite.  Maybe DirecTV needs to know the poor customer service Mas Tec gives their customers, otherwise who would stay with Directv if they are ok with their customers being treated that way.

You may disagree with how it is done, but per the rules Mastec would be the responsible party as they did the actual install work. That is where insurance and the damage claim process come into play (Sedgwick).

However you say you have had service since 2000. If you have had the same dish the entire time, then that would be most likely why the claim was denied as 21 years later is too late as not considered within a reasonable time.

I am currently going through the exact same thing!  Had no idea he didn't install securely and it wasn't sealed - 5 years later serious roof damage $700.  They keep giving me the runaround while all the time telling me they are looking into it.  I am beyond frustrated.  Customer of 15 years

A previous post refers to "Sedgwick".  This was who DTV referred me to after they created my in cident.  After four different reps and departments at Sedgwick I ws told by the DirectTV department that they ONLY cover property damage to directTV property, not their customers!  So this is baloney

@dkdiorio

I highly suggest you file a BBB complaint/damage claim.
