Wireless mini genie drops signal every time TV is turned off and on

I have 3 wireless mini genies and only one of them has an issue. It is also the one closest to the video bridge (is that the correct terms for the antenna?).  If I turn on the TV I get a message "No Signal." If I reset the mini genie with the red button, the signal comes back on. BUT, when I turn off the TV (and the mini genie), the next time I turn them on...no signal.

Any ideas?  Defective box?

The wireless video bridge (WVB) is what bridges the wireless Clients to the coax and through that to the Genie. So essentially the "antenna" from the coax side.

What model is the problem Client?

Have you tried swapping with one of the others to see if the problem follows the box?

Make sure the Client is not connected to a "smart" power strip. They don't play well with DirecTV equipment. By that same note, make sure your TV has HDMI-CEC turned off (if it has it). Even if using a normal surge protector or directly to outlet, try a different one. Verify all cords are secure and finger tight on both ends.

The unit is a C61W-400.  The only thing different about that setup is there is a Vizio sound bar involved using ARC2. So, it is HDMI from genie to sound bar and sound bar to ARC2 TV input.  That configuration worked perfectly on the Dish wireless Joey.

DirecTV boxes were optimized for being connected to TV directly. I would try connecting it directly to the TV to test. Your Joey may have worked fine, but that is no indication if the Mini Genie will as well as they are by different companies.

Also verify that HDCP 2.2 is supported by the sound bar, and preferably HDMI 2.0 as well per more recent requirements.

I would swap with one of your other DirecTV wireless Clients. Try both connecting via sound bar or directly to TV.

That should narrow down if the Client, sound bar, or TV is the problem.
