Multiple channels only showing a black screen no video. Other channels work fine. Anybody know how to fix this?

Occasionally the picture goes to black on certain shows, usually longer car races. Unplug/reboot doesn't help after a show is recorded. I'd like to prevent it from happening again.

I just got Directv so the HD/DVR receiver is brand new. When I try and watch a movie on Showtime the screen goes black but the audio stays. When I push any button it makes the error alert. I can't access my menu, guide or list of DVR shows. When I push those buttons on the remote the screen goes to black and the channel that is currently on shows up in the corner. I've tried resetting my receiver and that didn't work.

I want to delete a scheduled show remotely with the uverse app on my iPad. I can see the show in the scheduled shows.  I tap on it and another page comes up.   This page is a blank black with a < at the top of left corner.  Where is the delete button supposed to be?

Hello. Sometimes when I hit play on a recorded show I get a black screen. I have to go back to regular tv and hit the recorded tv button again and then it works fine. This just started recently. Is this a sign that my DVR might be dying? Thanks!

DVR indicates it is recording my shows. but when I go to watch them all that is there is a black screen. This has happened on several networks in the last week. Also, I can watch a DVR recording and it plays fine. But when I go to watch it again all it shows is a black screen.

Who's (Edited as per community guidelines) idea was it to put the dumb "commercial" in every time you pause for 2 seconds and then it goes to a black screen???????   The "press any button to dismiss this" and then it goes to a black screen and then you have to press play. VERY IRRITATING!!!!!!!!!!!
