Grandfathered Go Big discount now only $20 instead of the promised $25???

I've been with DTV stream since the very beginning when it was AT&T. My Go Big package initially cost $35/month and it was my  understanding that as long as I kept my package I would always receive a $25/month discount vs the same or comparable package rate offered to new customers.

I have a an older model Hitachi HD-TV that does not have an HDMI jack. When I plug in the RCA cables, I get a distorted black and white picture. Is there another way to hook up the receiver? Is there an adapter or different cable that I am missing. Please help.

Adding an external antenna

I want to add an antenna to my DTV receiver by plugging an antenna into the antenna port on the back so that I can get some local channels not offered on my system. I'm wondering if I'm using an old analogue TV, if I need a DTV converter box too, or does the Direct TV box take care of that for me?
