I have been complaining about Enhanced Content downloads for nearly a year.  They are VERY disruptive.  I have received several response emails saying that they only occur when my TiVo receiver has been inactive for 2 hours.  This is ABSOLUTELY not the case.  I know how to interrupt and stop them. 

Every day, spinning wheels and delayed broadcasts as the stream rewinds back to where it first locked up. Tonight, the channels go black and if they return at all, it is for maybe five minutes (3-4 commercials) and then it goes black again. When and if it restarts, I am back to the first commercial
