I am trying to play music files (mp3, asx,cda, rax extensions) from my PC on my Directv HD20 DVR but files have X by them and wont play. Video works fine.

I have a Buffalo 1 TB hard drive on my network, my DVR HR20 and HR22 see the files but they show with an X and will not play. What's my solution?

I haven't seen this particular issue addressed. It appears there are 3rd party apps available to allow more of a variety of files types to be sent to the TV. Is there a way to play .mkv video files through TVersity and not experience a grey screen and a message saying it can't play.   AVI plays fine (transcoded) but MKV files aren't, though of course all work on the computer perfectly.
