@Ludwick577 I see the same, and I don't know.  Perhaps developer mode would provide more details, but I haven't done that. There's certainly going to be a good amount of space taken by the core software (from Google and from DTV) and that might or might not show on the memory usage stats.  They also likely reserve a chunk of space so they can so "safe" updates.  But it still seems that given a 16GB flash there is space missing.

Interestingly, the original version of the device sent for FCC type acceptance had 2GB of RAM and 8GB of flash.  They apparently updated it before release when they realized it either didn't fit or was tight.  It is possible that they hard coded the flash size in the firmware and never updated it, but that seems hard to believe even for them.

@beachboy1122 I didn't see any mention of a sports fee in this thread.  And the sports fee mentioned on the website applies to DTV via Satellite and (probably_ DTV via Internet subscribers.  There's no indication that the situation for DirecTV Stream subscribers is changing in any way.  I also saw a chart on the website (which I unfortunately can't find right now) indicating that the fee for Stream subscribers is included.  Like @Juniper says, since they have to pay the RSNs, you are going to pay also - explicitly or implicitly.  Arguably explicitly is fairer, since the different RSNs cost different amounts, so with a fixed bundled fee, some subscribers (in areas where the RSNs don't cost as much or where they don't even carry any RSNs) are overpaying, while those in expensive RSN regions are perhaps being subsidized.

Can someone get some updated info on this? I went online to sign back up since the playoffs are starting tomorrow and it definitely says RSN 13.99 extra and applies. I chose Directv through internet they gave unlimited cloud DVR and the 15 ARS included. Puts the price at 99.99 for the package same price but then boom where is that RSN going to come from?

You'd be better off going with Stream, which is apparently still available on the previous terms (neither of those fees).  There's a link at the bottom of the directv.com homepage.

I suspect the ARS fee listed for both "via Satellite" "via Internet" should only apply to satellite - if so, the $99 (which as you say is what the equivalent Stream package costs) included the RSN fee, but it's really unclear, and I don't think anyone "out here" can say for sure.  Hopefully they will clean up the mess that is that page and make the costs/fees for the 2 options more clear.  But if those fees are real, I don't see any  upside to "via Internet" relative to Stream other than the price lock-in (well, and a free "Gemini"), and it's unlikely next year's price increase would be more than either of those fees, let alone both.

Yes and it say's Unlimited DVR Included. This is not right to exsisting Customers who have to pay $10 a month for it. It's like everyone gets it free now but exsisting.

You just need to cancel and sign up again with another account. Besides, what good is the unlimited DVR if it does not work most of the time anyway.

The problem with signing up for a new account is that No one seems to know if I can keep my 3 owned Osprey boxes, and transfer to my new account. That 's a lot of money to lose on the word of some one who said I think you can. Not talking about anyone specific. I can afford the $10 a month but it's still not right to the loyal customers.

@Glenee  Once you own your Osprey/Gemini box it is yours to keep you should be able to resign up and bring your own boxes with you to a new account.  You would just need to make sure that you can log out of the box before signing up for a new account, as some people who received boxes that were already logged in when they ordered them were not able to log out of those boxes.

I have Stream Cloud, no boxes. Now for some reason my Chromecast remote won't rewind and fast-forward. They know I don't have boxes, so I should not be charged for needing a box now. What can fix this?

What makes you think you are being charged for a box?

I called in and though this problem just started a couple or so weeks ago, they stated I'd need a Gemini box with remote and for refurbished, $49.99, for new $10 per month until paid off, $120.

You can use any supported streaming device. You don't have to get a box.
