USING C71KW-400
I'm trying to understand how to use the C71KW-400. I'm a satellite subscriber and trying to lower the number of receivers I pay a monthly charge for, will this box work on a TV I have the app loaded on? Will it replace the app?

The Gemini (C71KW) is a Client. It works similar to a Mini Genie with the added benefit of being able to use streaming apps (similar to Roku, Firestick, etc.).
It will not reduce your bill as you pay for each TV you have on the service, no matter what kind of box you are using. You would have to reduce number of TVs on the service to reduce this cost.
If you list the model of every box you currently have, guidance can be given to see if you might be able to get more out of what you're already paying. Depends on your exact setup.

Thank you for the responses, I have the satellite service with a Genie as my hub and 4 mini genies connected to TV's. In an effort to cut down my bill I have a couple of TV's running the app but hate the way you have to find a channel rather than just imputing the channel number. I was wondering if the C71KW-400 would solve that problem. I am also a person whose parents struggle with streaming products and that's why I still have satellite service.

The Gemini receiver uses a remote that functions similarly to the Genie Mini remote. You can easily access channels using the number pad to enter the desired channel number. Learn more here: Explore your Gemini Voice Remote | DIRECTV Support Charles, DIRECTV Community Team
