Ever rising bill prices.

We signed on with u-verse back in November of 2009.  Every year our bill gets jacked up, and I have to argue with some customer service rep (who I'm sure is told to not give an inch), who says there is nothing they can do about it.  I don't understand the policy of penalizing customers who have remained with u-verse for several years by constantly raising the rates, and giving big promotions to new customers who will probably drop the service in a year.  When I ask for customer retention, they put me on hold, and I think they just send me back to the queue.  Can anybody tell me how to speak to someone about this?

Say you are going to CANCEL, they shoud send you to Retentions where they've offered contracts/discounts to current users.

But having said that, there are strong rumors ATT is trying to sell Uverse (through retired Bell emp that knows Uverse managers) and not getting 'new' customers or giving out deals to current customers.  Many have reported they've just been told to downgrade service to save money. Smiley Surprised

Same thing happened to me! I was told by customer service rep. that my bill would never go over $135 taxes included if I signed up for a special promotion. Last month the bill was $146, this month its $159.76. Everytime I call customer service they just try to sell me more stuff. They give me different reasons for rising cost of service each time I call, but never a straight answer, except to tell me I'm stuck with this plan until May. Feel like a prisoner with no voice. Cannot wait to get rid of ATT and like I did with DISH Network I will never return as a customer.
