What happened to giving loyal customers discounts?

What happened to giving loyal customers discounts? I have been a loyal AT&T customer for 8 years. All the people that are just becoming customers are getting gift cards and discounts. Where are mine for never leaving? Do you want to have people change companies every 2 years or do you want people to stay?

Sorry. I meant loyalty. Don't know how to fix it.

I agree with you, the existing ATT customers should be taken care of with all the rewards. But if you look at this from the marketing teams prospective they just think more $$$.

Assuming your talking abou Uverse, what I've done in the past is arm myself with offers from other HSI and Video providers in my area.  As you know they all offer promotions to new customers.  Call several, if you have that option in your area, and get pricing for like services you currently have with Uverse.  Once you have your pricing together, call 800-288-2020 and ask for retentions or tell them you want to cancel. They will get you to the right dept.  Once there tell the rep you have offers from (as an example) Time Warner Cable, Dish, Direct TV, etc. then give them the price those companies offered, and ask what AT&T can do to keep you from switching.  They will give you pricing to keep you as long as you are not under a contract or are not just throwing out ridulous numbers.
