Why did the ATT technician take my old modem/my private property away when he installed ATT modem?
Why did the technician take my fully functional RCA modem away with him when he installed the new ATT U-verse modem? I did not authorize him to remove my private property from my home. I purchased that modem outright several years ago and it was fully functional on the Comcast network. I called and left a message at the contact number he provided, but he has not returned our calls. A quick call to Comcast will prove that I owned and used that modem for several years.

@Elr2005, he should not have taken any non-AT&T equipment with him. Continue to follow up with him at the contact number you have.

I have left two voicemails on his number over a two week time period and he has not returned our calls. We spoke with tech support at AT&T U verse and their repeated reply was "but you can no longer use that modem, it will not work." So what? It sells for $49 used on Amazon, even though it is 4 years old. He can sell it. Also, my AT&T U verse service has been so nonfunctional that I will probably cancel and go back to Comcast. Except I no longer have my modem to use with Comcast. The significance is not lost on me.. If I don't have resolution of this problem within 48 hours I'm filing a police report.

@Elr2005 Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature below.
Send them a Private Message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service problems and missing Comcrap modem.
Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.
Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. They can do more than any phone rep and stick w/it till it's done. Good luck 😉
