Add a second VAP wireless access point
I want a second access point for an area that is not reachable by the existing access point. The area has a direct cat 5 feed from the ATT gateway. So I could direct connect the second access point from the gateway. For my set up, wireless receiver is preferable to running additional cable in this area. If second WAP is not possible, is there another way to accomplish my goal other than running more cable?

I don’t think you can have a second WAP. Until we get a definite answer, try connecting your current WAP in the room where you would like a second one. You may find that moving the WAP provides a good signal to both or all of your other wireless TVs.

Only one WAP allowed. As suggested move the WAP to a better location if possible.
Another possibility (and only a possibility) is use ethernet powerline adapters. Only a possibility because these things don't necessarily play nice with other electrical devices plugged into the mains and vice versa.
