Certain channels not making complete recordings?

For the last week we’ve tried recording a couple of shows from Bravo, but they are not completely recording. It shows that the record is complete (like an hour episode), but within 20 minutes the recording ends and prompts to erase/watch next episode. We’ve recorded from other channels like the CW and MTV with no problems. The settings are any day, any time and to stop recording at scheduled finish time. We’ve completely cancelled the series record and re-set it but still no luck.

I have been having this same issue the past couple of weeks. I’ve had to record a show 3 times before I could finally watch it. It says the whole episode records, but I am only able to watch 10-15 minutes of the show before it pops up the screen to rewatch or delete. It’s is only Bravo shows.

  • Thanks missnlove... I just checked and my ‘new’ dvr is at least 7 years old.  I called and they’re supposedly sending a newer one.

I did some experimenting last night and recorded the same shows both on Bravo HD and Bravo SD channels. The HD all cut off but the SD shows seem ok... it’s worth a try until they figure this out.

Is there a way to solve this?

I live in Charleston, SC so was excited to relax and watch Southern Charm. I had it recorded and it looked like it recorded but after 12 minutes, it quit. So I decided to record that same show at a later time. That recording did the exact same thing. I'm not able to record and Bravo is one of my favorite channels. Is there a fix? Please help.

One of the community managers is aware of the situation and has made TPTB aware.

Someone posted that SD recordings played fine.  It was the HD recordings that had issues.  You might give that a try until the problem is resolved.

I have the Bravo app on my Roku.   All seasons are available to stream there.   That's how I've been watching WWHL.

Someone posted that while the HD channel is having this problem the SD channel is not.  I can't confirm that (nothing I want to see on Brave) but give it a try.

NBC isn't airing because the channel owner is greedy and wants more money.

Me too...getting no help either...very frustrating. It is a national problem, and their only solution has been to mail me a “new” DVR that is 8 years old. This is Crap

Me too...only Bravo...it’s a national problem that they don’t want to fix...it’s not a hardware problem, but their only solution is to send me a DVR that is 8 years old...no thanks

Lack of a fix does not imply they don't want to fix it.  I think this problem only occurred about 3 weeks ago.  It took enough reports and associated time before it warranted making someone in a position to report it to the developers to be made aware of it.  So it's been reported.  And within that time was a week with a holiday the probably add more delay.  And we also don't know what may be in their queue ahead of this problem to fix it.

Also note it has yet to be proved this is even an att problem.  All of this is automated.  It could be some kind of software bug introduced by the grid provider in their data they supply to att.  And the provider in turn could have caused this due to bad data supplied by, in this case, Bravo.  No human is involved (well maybe at the network level where it all begins).

Bravo shows are restarting halfway through. I’ve tried contacting support and have restarted system and downloaded app after deleting as directed but I am still having trouble. I can’t get through a show without it restarting. Thanks!
