Cutting gateway power doesn't reset receiver
So this is interesting:
A few weeks ago, I accidentally turned off the power to my gateway. I noticed that the DVR had the clock ("session" in the menu->options screen) reset to zero.
I just noticed that my receiver was over 1200 hours since last reset.
This is odd, isn't it?

I don't think it's that strange. What am I missing?

I'm probably overthinking something, but if the DVR resets to 0:00:00 upon the gateway power being lost, shouldn't the receiver also do the same?

The DVR may have noticed the network absence and decided to restart, and the regular receiver didn't.
