This is the second report of fog/haze over the image.  I'd do a hard reboot by unplug/plug in power after 30 seconds.  Let us know if it worked, good luck. 😉

Might try this one last thing:

If the DVR/STB functions are still not working, try a Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery.

Unplug the power cord of the DVR from the wall or from the back of the box and wait ten seconds. Plug the DVR back in.

When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again. Repeat this process two more times.

Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen.

If the Disaster Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above. If the Disaster Recovery screen appears, wait until completion.

If the Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery does not work, follow the steps for a Force Disaster Recovery

Will not erase recordings, take a long time, can be upto 20-30 mins or so. Good luck 😉

Humor me:  What is your aspect ratio set to?  Also, what kind of cable are you using to connect your TV receiver to the TV?

Hdmi cable is 6 months old of good quality and aspect is widescreen. Happened exactly when the update happened.

Thank you. Has this procedure worked in the past? This just seems to be an att issue not the dvr.

The op must be using a wireless receiver like myself since we both got the update around the exact same time and its ironic how we both have the same exact issue.

Have you unplugged/plug in reboot for 30 seconds, the WAP, connected to the RG, serving the wireless STBs? Smiley Surprised

Afteer all this I'd say click the ATT Uverse Care link in my signature, send the PM, explain the problem.  They might have a solution that has not been mentioned or find a solution there to give you.

Include your account#, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

Check and adjust your brightness / contrast , if you have hdmi setting, switch to low from normal. See if these adjustments cures the fog.

The 2013 update cause the receivers to be in the wrong color space. The 2014 should fix it, I'm still waiting for my update so I'm not 100% sure.

Just my 2 cents
