Slow-Motion on the DVR
I know its been brought up for the last 7+ years, but if it's not persued it will lose its importance.
I know there is a programer at U-verse that can do it, so go ahead and let him/her work on it. All of the other major providers have slow-motion capability and it's not just for sports. I recently saw a movie that showed Cameron Diaz walking towards the bathroom in the nude . Slo-Mo would have been nice then! Nature programs too!
If you would like to see slow-motion capabilty with U-verse, please respond to this thread.
Please don't respond if it's not important to you!
Thanks, 🙂

Yes, it is long overdue. If you want to read a sign or something else that flashes on the screen you cannot pause at the right place because you cannot sneak up on it, only go flying by.

Hands down, or up, whichever, my vote is for slo mo!!
There was this really nice scene in law abiding citizen with gerard butler. I mean it was a slow scene, but slower would've been nicer....
So yes, let's get this on the books, and get it done! For the nature programs too! 😉

I wish Uverse had slow motion and would fix the issues I have with my gateway turning off all the time.

MS Mediaroom (now owned by Erricson) that Uverse runs on, does not have the ability for slo-mo or it would've been added years ago
If you happen to have a 589 RG, IPv6 causes disconnects, rebooting and browsing problems. Disable IPv6 in the RG's Gui. Good luck 😉

How do you know that the DVR is incapable of slow-motion? Do you have a reference that we can look at?
Of all your comments before about you not needing slow-motion, this is the 1st time you stated that the DVR was incapable.
Way to toe the company line, mibrnsurg. Hey U-verse, send your man here a rewards card for his loyalty.

Cause if it could do it, ATT would have MS do it many years ago, users have been yelling for it for the 7+ years I've had Uverse. And my opinion slo-mo is not necessary still stands. Look in my sig I Call It Like I See It.

Interesting that you are now saying that the DVR is incapable, when before you were saying that they wouldn't mess with the DVR c[Per Guidelines: Keep it Relevant and Appropriate].
Which is it? 🙂

This is the best we can do (since they won't let us give the original gift

Just purchased att Uverse... am shocked to find out that this basic feature is not supported. You have me for this contract, but time is ticking. When contract is up, I will likely go back to cable... better search features as well. For the amount of $ per month it’s kind of silly to not have this entry level feature... am a sports junkie, and use it ALL the time.

absolutely! The slow motion feature is THE#1 reason I’ve enjoyed my TiVO head & shoulders above ANY other DVR. Alas, my TiVO could not overcome a direct lightning strike that fried every electrical component in my home: oven, bed riser, microwave, heat pump, etc. I used slowmo constantly.
If ever a remote control is programmed with slowmo, I’m buying it. $400 would not be overpriced for my desire to own it.
Is ANYone listening??!!!⁉️ May 2020
