Yes, I've put in new batteries several times but the problem remains. Other internet sites say that as your recording space diminishes, your remote control response times slow down. That is a terrible thing to happen and ATTT never mentions it when you sign the contract. That being said, even at 35% of my recording space remaining I don't think this should be happening.
Do the other remote functions work properly? Try cleaning around the power button, restart the receiver associated with the remote. Reset the remote to default settings and reprogram using the U-verse tv help menu. Last resort get a new remote from att.
