Why do I need more expensive internet when I want 6 streams and 1tb dvr

Unbeliveable! Two reps i went thru who they just told me I cant get the larger uverse dvr or 6 streams because I would need 1gig speed. Im already on 300m fiber plan and the support article regarding 1tb dvr and 6 hd streams make no mention of a min internet package. The only requirement is to be in a ATT fiber service area (im pretty sure that internet is not even required for this upgrade). Please have your call center staff trained on this

Skeeter, the article at your link says what the OP says: You have to have Fiber.  It doesn't say you have to have Gigabit fiber.

@bogar90706 , I have to suggest you call back a couple more times to see if you can get someone who will make the change.

Hey guys yes I was blowing off steam. thankfully the second rep did transfer me to customer loyalty specialist who pretty much agreed with me and had an order for me to get the new DVR by Friday along with 6 streams. What’s shocking is the level of disconnect these front line call reps have and it’s not their fault honestly but it seems they been trained to ignore common sense and just read off from a script

The amount of training they get basically tells them to navigate the script.  CSR jobs are low pay, high stress, high turnover. Doesn't do to spend much time training them, they won't be there long.
