DirectTV Stream App keeps status bar on IPAD on iOS when in full screen. How to get this fixed?

This was mentioned a year ago. But nothing has been done.

On iPAD when you have content full screen the status bar stays in place. This is not very desirable and distracting when I want to just watch a movie or the game. The status bar at the top with the time and status info is a distraction when I only want the content.

Other iPAD applications like Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, & Prime Video remove the status bar when content is full screen. 

What can be done as the DirectTV Stream app just need proper support added. How can get this fixed?

Anyway to get feedback on this fixed?

This issue has been reported more then 2 years ago and surprised it has not gotten any attention. But can say YouTube TV also does not have this issue.

Wanted to also add the other social media post a year ago that someone else was trying to get this problem fixed here:

In total 3 posts + mine today trying to get this problem addressed and it has been going on for a long time.

I think where the others failed is they didn't really show a picture so may have been some confusion. But you only want to see the content and NOT have the ipad status bar at the top in the area.

No one here can resolve this issue. This is only a customer-to-customer forum. Your best option is to contact support via Twitter or Facebook and report the issue.

     Thanks. I'm actually in contact with the DirectTV presidents office. But seems as the issue gets past along. Information is getting lost. So putting all the information here for everyone to see.

They actually did look at this post.

Sadly it looks like the App team is saying it's this way by design.  Sad. But the feedback did reach through. But looking like it's falling on deaf ears.
