Directv stream not compatible with apple update, lol

Seriously? What is wrong with you? Fix it or I am gone.

No one here can fix it, so you better get going. This is just a subscriber to subscriber community forum, not support. Voice your concern to a support rep at Twitter or Facebook.

Revert, lol. That is a hard no. I am not going to contact apple about directv's lack of professionalism. 
apple gives directv the update well before it is released. Directv stream was asleep at the wheel. 
I was told the engineers know NOTHING about this issue. They said they will contact me Tuesday, but that is a lie. They never call back. Oh, they ESCALATED this issue, lol. Over the last 15 years I have probably had 100 issues escalated. One issue that made me quit satellite was never fixed in the 4 years I complained and escalated. 
Getting a 7 day free trial elsewhere, then I am going to quit directv stream. Not paying for a service I can not use.

If a 3rd party (Apple in this case) makes an update, there is no guarantee that any other company will be compatible right from the start. Takes time, plus Apple is very strict on any apps or their updates being submitted to them so again is not instant.

Fix it or I am gone. 

This is a public forum, not customer support so that statement goes nowhere. Even if you called it would mean nothing as your individual angst does not make them fix it faster. So either wait or just go.

Naturally anyone in customer support will not know how long it takes to program or get it approved by apple. They aren't the ones doing the programming after all.

Now they definitely didn't say that. Leave the lies and toxicity at home.

Just because an issue is not fixed immediately does not mean there was a "lack of profesionalism" from DirecTV. If you don't want to contact Apple, what caused the problem in the first place, then that is your choice.

Ok, this I acknowledge is a fair point. Even if an issue has to be escallated, callbacks are practically non-existant. The exception is if a BBB complaint is submitted, then usually you are contacted by the corporate level.

It is a few lines of code. My nephew could do it it 10 minutes. 

I highly doubt this. Not everything in the software is accessible to a user. That normally requires company level permissions. Anyone who claims they can "do it better" than any given company should put their money where their mouth is and see if they can get a job and fix it while reaping the rewards of somehow being better than a multi-million dollar corporation.

Either maturely wait for the fix to come about, perhaps using a different streaming access than Apple in the meantime, or move on. But the childish level of toxicity and false claims will not accomplish you watching the programs you want. I hope you aren't accepting of your nephew speaking to you in the manner in which you've posted.

This is not customer support, for that you call.

Being toxic doesn't fix it faster and is against forum guidelines.

If you or someone you know can do it in "10 minutes" put your money where your mouth is.

Your only reasonable point free from toxicity was they pretty much don't do callbacks. Exception is BBB complaint that goes to the corporate level that usually results in contact back.

If you are incapable of reading the amount before, hope this shorter version helps.

I knew I shouldn't have read that. Pretty much every company that uses apple products deals with the updates in a timely fashion. Someone at directv stream dropped the ball. I had to spend an hour on the phone to finally be told that it might not be fixed until Monday. They like to make the customer think that it is not directv's fault. 
Directv gets the updates in advance, there is not reason they should not be ready for a minor update.

Over the phone they can only guess when something might be fixed as they are not working with the updates themselves. Apple releases an update and they are not compatible which is understandable. Not every company provides updates to an update in the same timeframe. Sure they could probably improve that over time on necessery updates sooner. But again, your absolute toxicity shown does nothing to help and only risks you getting kicked out of the forum by the moderators.

Yes, toe the line and act like directv stream is a well run organization or get kicked out of the forum to discuss the problems with directv stream.
