navigate off page during commercial breaks

@LLEWIS1588 you'll need to open another instance of your broswer. Rather than simply adding a tab to the current instance of your browser, you'll need to right click on it and select 'Open' depending on your desktop OS to get another instance going. Another method is opening a different browser to do your work there. 

Thank you for your reply. I have it opened in Microsoft Edge and trying to do other work in Chrome, Outlook, etc. Every time that I leave the page and do work on any other part of my computer, the commercial pauses and will not start back until i go back to stream. 

Also, i can navigate away from the stream while the show is plating, just not during commercials.

When the video player of the DIRECTV STREAM app is running, you need to keep the tab where you are watching your programming active.

thank you. I can navigate away from the streaming tab while the show is playing but not while a commercial is playing.... I find that unusual. Sometimes i navigate away but am still listening.

I haven't seen this.  Using Firefox, I just opened another tab, and when a commercial came on, switched to the new tab.  The audio continued, and when the commercials ended, I switched back to the DTVS tab and things were running.  No idea if your issue is browser specific or some other issue.

I downloaded FireFox onto my computer. Still unable to navigate off of the page during commercials without it stopping. I can actually hover over the FireFox and Chrome icons and the audio will start again, but trying to look at websites or do work is still not happening. I don't know if it's a setting or what. Giving me a bit of a headache. :)
