1883
I WILL TRY TO MAKE THIS SIMPLE AND PLEASE RESPOND LIKEWISE SO A 73 YEARL OLD MAN CAN UNDERSTAND. I WANT TO WATCH ALL EPISODES OF 1883 ON MY LG TV SCREEN. I UNDERSTAND THAT PARAMOUNT+ HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY DTV SATELLITE SERVICE. I HAVE A FIRESTICK CONNECTED TO MY LGTV. I HAVE INTERNET THROUGH A HUGHES-NET SATELLITE. I HAVE A APPLE MACBOOK AIR. IF I CAN RECORD 1883 FROM 2 AM TO 4 AM TO PLAY BACK THROUGH MY TV SCREEN THEN I WONT BURN UP ALL MY HUGHES-NET INTERNET GIGS RECORDING ONE EPISODE OF 1883. CAN ANYONE WALK ME, STEP BY STEP, THROUGH THIS PROCESS, ASSUMING THAT I KNOW NOTHING RE TECH. THANKS FROM AN OLD MAN.

Probably can't be done as the On Demand guide data has to be updated from the internet before you can setup the program at 2 am to be downloaded, then it may take more then 2 hours to download depending on your download speed.

I applaud you for understanding your data allowance with HughesNet.
Unfortunately, DirecTV doesn't have a way to schedule On Demand usage for an exact time. Not simply your recording, but when first connected to internet there is an initial bulk download to setup all of On Demand. Plus, it uses data periodically to keep it up to date. This has high risk, if not a guarantee, of eating through your data allowance.
Since there is no way to schedule this during your free data hours, the simple answer is do not connect to HughesNet internet. Instead, just record from your normal satellite channels.
