Adding metv and fox47

I would like my 3.2 and fox 47 added to my clear lake iowa line up..I did call and was told no would raise my bill alot..I find that unacceptable!..these should be considered local.

channels cant be added ala carte you would need to switch to a package that carries those channels but 3.2 is a sub channel that directv doesnt carry

In order to get those channels you would need an OTA antenna.

You can only get locals for your service address, and only if DirecTV has a carriage agreement with the local affiilate. www.directv.com/locals

As for METV, most areas it is a sub channel like yours (i.e. 3.2 instead of just 3). DirecTV does not have the satellite bandwidth for the hundreds of sub-channels across the country on top of everything else.

The solution is using a regular over-the-air (OTA) antenna to get any additional channels within range. Though if you can find an old AM21, you might be able to connect it to your DirecTV box to integrate it with the guide so you can record from the OTA channels (plus don't have to switch TV inputs between DirecTV and antenna).
