Autotune

I with an older generation setbox & remote, I was able to program TV's (sports bar) to tune to specific games/events at the start times. It seems the new generation does not have that as a feature. In this business it is an EXTREMELY valuable feature. I cannot imagine that this feature is no longer a part of the service, please tell me I am doing something wrong. We have, currently, 6 locations and are working on the 7th & 8th. I hope there is a way to do this and I am alone in my confusion.

What are the receiver models of the boxes that you wish to use auto tune on?

I am not at the location right now, I can tell you it uses this remote:

Remote DIRECTV 4336303112

I hope that helps

The remote doesnt say much about the receiver being used. When you get to the facility let us know the receiver models.

That number for the remote doesn't say anything.

First of all remotes are model RC6X (old white universal) or RC7X (Genie or "peanut" style). However, this has absolutely nothing to do with Autotune.

Autotune is only in non-DVR models. This is because DVR replaces the feature. If you have a sports bar correctly on a business account than you shouldn't have any DVRs since they are not allowed. So if Autotune is not working it is expected to be a technical issue.

This is where model of the DirecTV box is needed to know what is being worked with. And remember Receiver ID and Serial Number are not the model number.

DTV HRXX have never had auto tune only the HX receivers. Since you have a business account then you are not allowed to record programs so the HX receivers are the only receivers you can use.

Right, now the only Receivers a public viewing business can have is the following:

H20-H25, H26K, H44

We just need the OP to reply back with the receiver info. AFAIK the H44 and the H26K don't have Autotune.

The H44 (Genie Lite) does not have Autotune. Even without the DVR upgrade kit, it is still designed for it so like all Genies doesn't have Autotune. This was one of the major complaints when it first came out because many assumed it had Autotune when it was fully set for DVR. It still feeds tuners to Clients, regardless if with DVR or not. So those tuners are spoken for.

The H26K is one model I am still learning about. A new dedicated receiver that supports 4K shows a bit of hope. Still want an HR25 (perhaps HR25K) to exist.

The H44 didn't fly well and I believe it was made as an HR44 but left out the hard drive that could be added later as an external unit so never would have had auto tune.
