Cannot navigate new menu

When I turned my tv on this morning, it is completely different and I cannot access my list or guide.  I have to switch input or wait until the screen times out before I can watch anything?  What happened and is there a fix?  Am I missing something?

Are you a DirecTV Satellite or Streaming customer?

What DVR/Receiver or Streaming device(s)?

Satellite.  I have whole home DVR w Genie Gen 2.  This is what I get now and I cannot use my DirecTv remote to navigate it.  I have to wait for it to time out. It’s so annoying!

That is not a DirecTV screen. Those are all streaming apps (notice Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc.). Either your TV is changing input to what your streaming device is plugged into or you have a 'smart' TV and that is the TV set's own app screen.

Your 2nd generation Genie (HR44) has nothing to do with those streaming apps. Try checking for any firmware/software updates on the TV or even unplugging it for a couple minutes to see if that will reset and clear whatever bug happened.

This maybe the default ANT input that the TV goes to when it loses power.

Thank you Juniper.  I was having to use the actual TV remote to EXIT to watch live TV so that may be the issue.  I've already reset the box and that didn't help so I'll look at my TV settings and see what my have changed.  We were watching TV fine Monday evening when we turned the TV on and it was working fine. Then, when we turned the TV on yesterday morning, that is the screen that came on. We didn't change any settings or anything so I'm not sure what happened.  Maybe TV software updated overnight?  Thanks again!  TVs are just smarter than I am now!  Ughhhh!  :)

Shannon - I'm not sure what ANT is but like I said, I've never had this happen before and we made absolutely no changes so we will unplug everything, and plug everything back in.  To my knowledge we had no loss of power either so it's just all really odd.  Thank you as well for your input.

The "ANT" input is for antenna, like you would for traditional over-the-air locals. Typically TV's default input is that one. So that would be where the TV goes on first use, if has been unplugged for long enough, or something else reverted it back to the default setting.

I would also check to be sure you are not using a "smart" power strip and that if your TV has HDMI-CEC to have that turned off. They try to tell the TV and devices what to use by what HDMI device is turned on, but that doesn't always work well with DirecTV equipment.

A simple HD TV is what I will use for a long time. The TV may be "smart" but they are not always convenient to use.
