Cannot record using local channel connector

Due to Nextar/DTV dispute, I'm using DTV's local channel connector to receive a local channel. It comes in very well, but I find I cannot record the station, or watch it on my 2 other DTV receivers. The local channel connector is connected to my HR54 Genie receiver. The other 2 receivers are not Genies or DVRs. When this happenned a few years ago, I WAS able to record and watch recordings on the other 2 receivers. Any ideas?

I will call DTV tech support, but I thought it would be a good idea to ask here as well.

Since it was never released nationally it is still in beta testing and not sure if DTV is still making it.  Most likely the new DTV receiver software versions are not supporting it that is causing the problems.

What happens when you try to record the channel on the HR54 receiver? Any error codes? You can try a red button reset (side by the access card) or try unplugging and replugging in the LCC.

It should allow you to record.

No error codes. Also, in the strip up above, it says "regular programming"and nothing else, and its not possible to bring up the blue mini-guide below.

Try a red button reset as well as re-running the LCC setup by going to Menu, Settings, Antenna Setup, and press the (-) DASH button.

"Regular Programming" means that there's no Guide Data for that channel at that time. Either the Guide has not fully downloaded yet (it can take a day), or that station hasn't provided that information. In that case, you can set up a manual recording on the desired channel & time.

It's not a matter of waiting for the guide to download. It has been this way, since the local channel connector was installed, early July. This channel is a local ABC affiliate, which always provides guide information.

Just got an LCC for my HR44 when I lost a channel during the Tegna dispute. I am able to record an LCC program only if I am tuned to the program. If I am on another channel and press record for the LCC program in the guide, the record indicator shows for a few (Edited per community guidelines)conds, then disappears. If I try to record a future program on LCC, the program appears in the list of upcoming recordings until it is time to start, then it disappears. Is this a bug?

You mention beta testing. They are not new. I got one from them 4 years ago, and it worked much better. Could record, watch in other rooms. It's the same one that's acting up now, but I don't need it at the moment. Temporary settlement.

Update on LCC recording issue: Two days after installation, I was able to record shows anywhere in the guide, but it will not record series (even though the series recording symbol shows). Only the first instance records.
