There is little DTV can do if there is a problem with the feed from ABC to them.

Not much you can do just keep checking to see when you get your ABC channel back at least you know that they are working on getting the live feed restored.

Being the first day of college football doesn't mean that technical dificulties are impossible. As DirecTV was already aware of the problem from ABC and they were working on it, don't know what you expected to accomplish with this post.
As it has been a couple days, hope it is fixed now. If not, then your local ABC affiliate is scrambling as best they can to fix the feed to DirecTV.
Well at least you have heat and food I assume...
