DIRECTV Spot Beam Question
Hello. Its me again!
I am thinking about going to Salem, CT for Easter break and want to bring my DIRECTV with me to watch March Madness and tailgate. I currently reside in New Jersey and get WCBS, WABC, etc. Would I still get those stations when I travel to Salem, CT or would they show 727? Thanks. Also, if I were to set the default to local channels for Salem, CT if the spot beam didn't reach there, would I get Salem CT local channels in New Jersey? I hate having to call DTV to change my service address every time. I just want to set it to one default location that will cover between Salem, CT and New Jersey. Thank you.

I believe the locals you get are the east coast national feeds. I suspect you will still get those stations from that location.

If you are currently getting the east coast national feeds (only the main four) you will continue to get them in salem. You can't get the salem locals by changing anything on the receiver.

AT&T no longer allows you to change you service address without a move order and only one a year is free after 2 years of uninterrupted service and you will not get any locals once you get outside the local spot beam.
