Dropping Fox Stations
I understand that DirecTv is considering dropping from their lineup the following: FOX Fox Sports, FS1, FS2, BIG TEN & Fox Desportes.
Please reconsider as some of these are among my favorite channels. You have already removed one of my favorite news channels, OneAmerica News.
There are many choices available for TV viewing today. If you continue to drop channels, I may have to exercise my option to take my viewing elsewhere.
I don't appreciate DirecTv's favoring of one political discourse over another.

DirecTV didn't make that decision. Fox made that decision. It's within their rights to withhold their channels from cable, satellite and streaming providers to demand more $$$. It's a crazy situation where the network owners have all the power and we have none, especially if you can't receive the channels with an over-the-air antenna.
Learn more about the situation here ....

Sorry but your understanding is in error. DirecTV is NOT considering dropping those channels.
What is happening is the carraige agreement with Fox is comming up. If a new agreement is not reached by the deadline, then Fox might pull the channels while negotiations continue. This is Fox's right as they own the channels, not DirecTV.
Fox wants more money then DirecTV is willing to pay. Remember, their rates go up then so do ours (the customer). I suggest that if Fox does withhold the feed, to find something else to watch temporarily while negotiations continue.
There is no other viewing option that makes this avoidable. TV providers do not own the channels so they all go through negotiations. The TV providers do not drop channels during active negotiations, only the company (Fox in this case) can do that as they own the broadcast rights.
Hope you now actually understand.
AT&T (DirecTV's parent owner) chose to not renew the carraige agreement. That is a separate situation from Fox as there were no negotiations to begin with as the agreement was just left to run out and let OANN find another home.

@liberalkiller
It was publicized hours ago. Late to the party (regardless if Liberal, Republican, or whatever flavor of the day to point your pitchfork at).
